As a Sales Representative for Wine and Spirits, you will be responsible for promoting and selling our extensive portfolio of world-class wine and spirits to our existing and potential customers in the NYC market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with our customers to promote the goodwill of the company and grow our brand presence.
  • Represent our wine and spirits portfolio in a dynamic and competitive market.
  • Grow brand presence within our existing accounts and develop new accounts to increase our points of distribution.
  • Properly merchandise our products in our customers' stores with permanent and paper point-of-sale displays.
  • Effectively collect accounts receivable in accordance with state law.
  • Develop new accounts and grow our account base to increase our sales and revenue.
  • Handle customer inquiries regarding credit, delivery, product information, and other questions in a timely and professional manner.
  • Execute monthly and quarterly priorities related to business activities.
  • Build relationships with account personnel and supplier teams to maintain and improve customer service.
  • Support the Marketing Team in executing brand development programs and placing promotional materials.
  • Work closely with our beer team to field and follow up on leads, consult on beverage programs, and be available for supplemental tasting appointments and product information.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • 21 years of age or older to comply with federal and state regulations.
  • Passion for wine and spirits, superior customer service skills, and ability to build relationships with customers.
  • Background in wine and spirits sales with an emphasis on mixology.
  • Some industry experience preferred, but not required.
  • Capacity to bend and lift heavy objects on a regular basis.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong comfort level with technology.
  • Positive and approachable demeanor, willingness to learn, grow, and take initiative as well as direction.
  • Ability to multitask and pivot effortlessly from various job functions throughout the day.
  • Must be able to obtain a solicitor's license and maintain it.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends.
  • Ability and willingness to work independently and with a team.
  • Must be able to read and write in English.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) skills a plus, but not required.
  • Vehicle ownership required.
