Job Summary

Delphinus Engineering is seeking a highly skilled Submarine Machinery Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our marine engineering team, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and overhauling complex mechanical systems and components on US Naval vessels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform installation, repair, and overhaul of machinery, mechanical systems, and components in accordance with Technical Work Documents and associated drawings.
  • Assist project teams with the installation of structural and piping components.
  • Perform system or component level inspections as directed by the Project Manager.
  • Document inspections and work performed in both the Technical Work Document and on associated Objective Quality Evidence Forms as applicable.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and Precision Measuring Instruments to perform installation, repair, and maintenance tasks.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical/equipment installation, repair, and overhaul on US Naval vessels.
  • Submarine experience and experience with SUBSAFE, DSS-SOC, and/or LEVEL I systems and components is preferred.
  • Experience and working knowledge of utilizing hand tools, power tools, and Precision Measuring Instruments.
  • Experience working in shipyards and ship repair environments.
  • Possess ability to read, understand, and interpret Technical Work Documents and drawings.
Working Conditions

The employee is required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk and/or hear on a regular basis. The employee is frequently required to carry objects that might weigh up to 50 pounds.

Education and Certifications
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalency is required.
  • Prospective employees must be a US Citizen and capable of passing both a Criminal Background Check and a Drug Screen.
  • Current SECRET Level Security Clearance is required.
