Job Summary

Amentum is seeking a highly skilled Test Equipment Supply Technician to support our operations in the Norfolk, VA area. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering test equipment to submarines, providing on-the-job training, and ensuring the accurate calibration and maintenance of equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Delivery and Support: Provide timely and efficient delivery of test equipment to submarines in the Norfolk area.
  • Calibration and Maintenance: Ensure the accurate calibration and maintenance of test equipment, including practical experience in the knowledge of the calibration process.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory, storage, and cataloging of test equipment, as well as property utilization and material coordination.
  • Training and Development: Provide on-the-job training to ship's force on the correct handling of calibrated test equipment.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Complete all required reporting and documentation upon completion of tasks assigned.
Requirements
  • Specialized Experience: Five (5) years of full-time logistical experience onboard surface ships supporting the operation, maintenance, and repair of interior communications systems utilizing test equipment.
  • Experience in Evaluating Material Condition: Experience in evaluating the material condition of ship systems and implementing corrective actions.
  • General Experience: Two (2) years of full-time technical experience in a calibration lab environment performing testing and/or repair of mechanical/electronics test equipment.
  • Clearance and Citizenship: Must have an active secret US government clearance and be a US citizen to maintain a secret clearance.
  • Driver's License: Possess a valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Shipboard Safety Procedures: Familiarity with shipboard safety procedures, including hazardous material handling and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
