Key Responsibilities

  • Willingness to learn and execute the following tasks under the guidance of seasoned marine electricians and electronics technicians:
    • Installation and removal of electrical wiring and electronic devices aboard vessels
    • Conduct various manual labor activities, including fastening and unfastening electrical and electronic apparatus
  • Ensure a tidy and organized workspace on board
  • Proficient in using hand tools, grinders, reciprocating saws, and drills
  • Possess personal hand tools and an electrical multimeter. Training will be provided on the proper use of all tools and multimeters prior to engagement
  • Execute all tasks in compliance with the established protocols outlined in the Waveforce Electrical Safety Manual
  • Ability to perform physical tasks on ships, barges, and submarines
  • Work effectively in small, supervised teams on board
  • Capable of lifting and/or moving items weighing up to 45 pounds
  • Occasional travel may be necessary (less than 25%)

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Previous experience in ship repair or modernization is advantageous but not mandatory

Additional Requirements

  • Must successfully pass pre-employment drug and background checks conducted by Waveforce Electrical.
  • Must be eligible to obtain access to government facilities and/or shipyards, including a DBIDS credential, as required by work locations.
