Test Equipment Supply Technician (part-time)

Are you looking for a meaningful position to allow you to continue supporting the world's finest surface fleet? Amentum may have the position you are looking for. We have an immediate opening for a Test Equipment Supply Technician to support Commander Submarine Atlantic in the Norfolk, VA mid-Atlantic area. This is a part-time position and will allow you to continue providing support to the Fleet.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Provide delivery services/support of test equipment to submarines in the Norfolk area
  • Practical experience in the knowledge of the calibration process to Naval test equipment
  • Practical experience in inventory management, storage management, cataloging, property utilization test equipment
  • Responsible for material coordination of calibrated test equipment
  • Provide On-The-Job-Training (OJT) to ship's force with knowledge in correctly handling calibrated test equipment
  • Provide, review, and complete all required reporting upon the completion of tasks assigned

Minimum Requirements:

  • Specialized Experience: five (5) years of full-time logistical experience onboard surface ship supporting the operation, maintenance, repair of interior Communications systems utilizing test equipment
  • Experience in evaluating material condition of ship systems and implementing corrective actions
  • General Experience: two (2) years of full-time technical experience in a calibration lab environment performing testing and or repair of mechanical/electronics test equipment
  • Must have an active secret US government clearance. Note: US citizenship is required to maintain a secret clearance
  • Practical experience in periodicity of different types of test equipment and their calibration requirements
  • Driver's license

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiar with shipboard safety procedures including hazardous material handling and use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
