Job Overview

AES Drilling Fluids LLC is currently in search of dedicated Plant Operators for our Midland facility. We provide an excellent benefits package, competitive salaries, and opportunities for bonuses, all within a stable work environment that promotes career advancement.

This role involves the safe and efficient production of liquid mud blends, as well as loading these products into trucks and vessels for customer delivery. Additionally, our Plant Operators will gain experience in warehouse operations. The facility operates around the clock, requiring a flexible schedule that includes 12-hour shifts alternating between day and night.

Estimated Annual Compensation: $74,000-77,500 (starting hourly rate of $22.50, plus overtime, quarterly, and year-end bonuses).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Formulates AES Drilling Fluids products to meet specified properties and weights.
  • Conducts quality checks to ensure product accuracy prior to dispatch.
  • Monitors and maintains storage tanks to prevent settling of drilling fluids.
  • Assists in inspecting motors and equipment at the liquid mud plant as required.
  • Delivers small loads and equipment to customer locations as needed.
  • Supports warehouse operations when necessary.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED; 2 years of experience in the oilfield is preferred.
  • Forklift operator certification or the ability to obtain it is required.
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Basic office skills, including computer and phone proficiency, are advantageous.
  • Must pass a pre-employment background check, physical fitness assessment, and drug screening.
Working Environment:
  • Work is conducted in a warehouse and open-air plant environment, with regular exposure to drilling fluids and chemicals.
  • Willingness to work additional hours during the week and on weekends is necessary.
