About the Role: As a Lease Operator, you will oversee the operations of oil and gas wells, conduct well testing, and manage the operation and upkeep of field equipment and facilities. Your role will involve monitoring general field activities and maintaining various databases related to production and operational metrics.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage various types of wells, including flowing, beam pump (with electronic pump-off controller), plunger lift, water injection, and water disposal.
  • Oversee facilities such as production tank batteries, flowlines, LACT (lease automatic custody transfer) facilities, water injection plants, natural gas compression, cathodic protection, and metering devices.
  • Ensure safe work practices while implementing environmentally acceptable procedures to maximize profitability and minimize costs on assigned oil and gas properties.
  • Conduct daily monitoring of multiple well sites via vehicle.
  • Test, calibrate, and troubleshoot equipment and mechanical issues.
  • Complete mandatory documentation required by clients and regulatory bodies.
  • Perform general housekeeping and maintenance in the field.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Lease Operator or Well Runner.
  • Working knowledge of oil and gas production operations is essential.
  • Ability to work effectively both in a team and independently without direct supervision.
  • High School diploma or GED required; some college or technical training preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record; must meet all conditional job offer requirements.
  • Candidates must reside in the Odessa, Midland, or Andrews area to qualify.
