As a Regional Sales Leader, you will be responsible for synthesizing customer and market data to effectively utilize multiple channels, driving comprehensive sales engagements across your team to maximize customer impact and serve patients effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide motivational leadership and strategic guidance to sales representatives to meet performance targets in a compliant manner, achieved through effective coaching, mentoring, and resource utilization aligned with the organizational vision.
  • Strict adherence to Idorsia's compliance policies and procedures is essential. Conduct interactions with healthcare professionals and other key stakeholders in a legal, ethical, and monitored manner, ensuring timely training for team members.
  • By fostering the development of your team, you will enhance business performance by observing sales specialists' interactions with key customers and providing tailored coaching and feedback to promote their success.
  • As the regional sales leader, you will possess expertise in disease states and product information, consistently modeling effective sales discussions and customer interactions as part of your coaching approach.
  • Act as a role model and liaison to inspire commitment, trust, collaboration, and motivation towards a shared vision by facilitating communication, morale, and effectiveness within your district and cross-functional teams.
  • Proactively identify and address the needs of internal and external customers by building relationships, recognizing strategic business opportunities, and delivering innovative solutions.
  • Develop and oversee a comprehensive strategic district business plan, incorporating specific, measurable, action-oriented objectives aligned with regional and national goals.
  • Strategically leverage insights to create an engagement plan for healthcare professionals/accounts, employing a dynamic and collaborative approach to maximize business outcomes.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation to enhance business impact, adapt as necessary, and implement various tools/channels to engage customers/accounts effectively.
  • Manage district funds and resources ethically and ensure their targeted allocation to maximize sales and return on investment.
  • Clearly communicate the marketing strategy and ensure its implementation within your district in accordance with Good Promotional Practice guidelines.
  • Assist in developing and supporting brand goals, targets, and priorities by collaborating closely with key internal business partners, including Brand Marketing, Strategic Field Sales Operations, Managed Markets, and Sales Training.
  • Effectively manage multiple priorities and resources related to individual and group efforts.
  • Take responsibility for redirecting efforts as necessary to maintain high productivity and quality of work from yourself and others.
  • Demonstrate learning agility, flexibility, and the ability to leverage feedback for personal growth and to coach your team for future success.
  • Exemplify strong business ethics, understand fundamental business principles, and utilize available resources to make sound business decisions that achieve standards of excellence.

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • District Manager: Minimum of 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales, including at least 2 years as a front-line leader with proven sales performance.
  • Sr. District Manager: Minimum of 7 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales, including at least 3 years as a front-line leader with proven sales performance.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical sales within the cardiovascular therapeutic area.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, financial management skills, and proficiency in written and oral communication.
  • Understanding of business drivers, dynamics, regulations, and market access within the pharmaceutical industry; demonstrating ownership and accountability.
  • Ability to adapt, thrive, innovate, and maintain a growth mindset.
  • A valid driver's license and a safe driving record, with the ability to travel up to 50% of the time, including overnight trips.
  • Must reside within the designated geographical boundaries of the district.
  • Must meet credentialing requirements for access to medical facilities, hospitals, and academic institutions within the assigned geography, which may include proof of required immunizations and/or vaccinations, background checks, and drug screenings.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience in other functional areas of the business (e.g., Sales Training, Customer Solutions, Sales Operations, Managed Care, and Marketing) and utilizing multichannel approaches to reach customers.
  • Experience in selling or managing specialty drugs, including product launch experience; preferred experience in Nephrology, Endocrinology, and Hospital sales.
  • Experience with new product launches.
  • Familiarity with the territory.
