Job Overview

Amentum is seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to manage and oversee purchasing activities within our organization. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of procurement processes and the ability to work effectively within a government-approved purchasing framework.

Key Responsibilities

+ Identify, research, and evaluate sources for goods and services, ensuring optimal procurement strategies are employed.

+ Engage in both competitive and sole source purchasing, demonstrating a thorough understanding of market dynamics.

+ Utilize supply chain management software to place, track, and manage commercial orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

+ Establish vendor relationships and agreements, particularly with international suppliers in developing regions.

+ Maintain meticulous records and documentation, showcasing strong attention to detail.

+ Exhibit exceptional communication and customer service skills, fostering positive relationships with stakeholders.

+ Proficiently use Microsoft Office and other software tools to support procurement activities.

+ Apply mathematical skills to perform calculations and analyze data relevant to procurement decisions.

+ Ensure adherence to compliance standards, including CPSR, FAR/DFARS, and internal policies related to procurement.

+ Prepare solicitation documents, including statements of work and evaluation criteria, for various procurement projects.

+ Collaborate with legal, technical, and financial teams to support subcontract awards and performance.

+ Monitor subcontractor performance, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of services.

+ Conduct price and cost analyses, utilizing various methodologies to ensure competitive pricing.

+ Generate reports and documentation for both internal and external stakeholders.

+ Manage the entire procurement lifecycle, including the establishment of Non-Disclosure Agreements and other necessary documentation.

Qualifications

+ A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience is preferred; relevant experience may substitute for educational requirements.

+ A minimum of two years in procurement and subcontract management is required.
