Position Overview:

As a Senior Cost Estimation Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in delivering Cost Estimating Analysis and providing functional expertise in support of advanced military aircraft programs. Your contributions will be vital to the development and maintenance of cutting-edge multi-role aircraft.

Key Responsibilities:


1. Deliver comprehensive financial management support for ongoing program operations, including long-term financial forecasts and information requests from various stakeholders.
2. Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to shape system development inputs and support the military's integrated processes.
3. Engage in strategic planning, programming, and budgetary support to ensure effective program execution.
4. Conduct detailed cost analysis utilizing CCARs, while leveraging Navy ERP and Air Force Legacy Systems as necessary.
5. Provide program managers with essential budgetary traceability and visibility through CCARS, ensuring compliance with financial transaction activities.
6. Work closely with F-35 JPO policy makers to provide critical decision support and serve as a liaison with both internal and external stakeholders.
7. Utilize your cost analysis expertise in client engagements, overseeing project work streams and developing actionable plans.
8. Implement robust financial management practices to deliver accurate development and sustainment cost estimates for budget forecasts.


Basic Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience with the DoD PPBE process for ACAT ID level programs, including experience within Navy, USAF, or Joint Services.
2. Proficiency in cost estimating methodologies and tools.
3. Strong skills in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
4. Ability to effectively gather and normalize diverse data types, including hours, SLOC, or contract actuals.
5. Experience in constructing models that reflect both BY and TY costs using OSD deflators across various appropriations.
6. Creative problem-solving skills to present costs in relation to budgets and metrics.
7. Capability to present and secure approval from program directors for developed estimates.
8. Experience in creating comprehensive Basis of Estimate (BOE) and out-brief presentations for various stakeholders.
9. Possession of a Secret clearance.
10. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.

1. Familiarity with CSDR reporting is preferred.
2. A creative and adaptable mindset.
3. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Clearance Requirements:


Selected applicants will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; a Secret clearance is mandatory.
