Job Summary

Amentum is seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for managing the entire procurement process from start to finish, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Procurement and Contract Management
    • Procure goods and services from vendors and suppliers, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
    • Manage contracts and agreements with vendors and suppliers, ensuring timely delivery and quality of goods and services.
    • Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet business needs and goals.
  • Supply Chain Coordination
    • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to identify procurement needs and develop procurement plans.
    • Manage the procurement process, including soliciting bids, evaluating proposals, and awarding contracts.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Communicate effectively with vendors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth procurement processes.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure procurement needs are met and business goals are achieved.
  • Quality and Compliance
    • Ensure all procurement activities are conducted in accordance with company policies and regulations.
    • Monitor and report on procurement performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent from a four-year college preferred.
    • Two or more years of related procurement and subcontracts management experience.
  • Skills and Experience
    • Extensive experience with procurement software and systems.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
