Blue Rose Consulting Group is on the lookout for a proficient Lead Financial Analyst with expertise in government contracting (GovCon) to enhance our dedicated workforce. This full-time position is perfect for a detail-oriented professional with substantial experience in Deltek Costpoint and COGNOS/BI ERP systems.

The ideal candidate will oversee and refine the financial operations of the organization, which includes generating regular financial reports, maintaining a robust accounting record system, and establishing a comprehensive framework of controls and budgets aimed at minimizing risks, improving the precision of the company's financial disclosures, and ensuring adherence to federal regulations while driving enhancements in financial performance.

Key Responsibilities:Accounts Payable & Receivable Oversight:
  • Manage and supervise the AP/AR functions, ensuring prompt and precise transactions.
  • Leverage Deltek Costpoint for thorough reporting, project accounting, and financial forecasting.
  • Conduct monthly reconciliations with vendors to guarantee accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Ensure all invoices are accurately calculated and dispatched to clients.
  • Address vendor inquiries by investigating and resolving account discrepancies.
Financial Reporting & Insight:
  • Prepare schedules, summaries, and reconciliations for incurred cost submissions and provisional billing rates.
  • Deliver timely and comprehensive financial statements and coordinate the creation of the corporate annual report.
  • Analyze financial data to uncover trends, variances, and potential cost-saving opportunities.
  • Provide financial insights for capital investments, pricing strategies, and contract discussions.
Compliance with Federal Contracting:
  • Ensure adherence to federal contracting laws and requirements.
  • Develop and maintain indirect cost rates and budgets in accordance with federal standards.
  • Assist in evaluating non-billable costs for appropriate categorization within the general ledger and cost pool.
Process Enhancement & Strategic Development:
  • Review and refine existing business processes and systems in line with the Company's Accounting Policy and Procedure manual.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to identify and implement process enhancements.
  • Contribute to strategic planning efforts and support the optimization of financial systems and procedures.
Administrative & Support Functions:
  • Perform data entry directly into internal and external accounting systems.
  • Maintain the chart of accounts and an organized accounting filing system.
  • Ensure that periodic bank reconciliations are completed.
Qualifications:Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or a master's degree is preferred.
Experience:
  • A minimum of five years of experience in a financial analyst role, with a strong grasp of Deltek modules, particularly in project accounting.
  • Demonstrated experience in federal contracting and compliance.
Skills:
  • Strong proficiency in Deltek Costpoint and COGNOS/BI ERP systems.
  • Advanced capabilities in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and projects concurrently.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with financial modeling and strategic financial planning.
  • Knowledge of government finance and accounting principles.
  • Demonstrated success in process improvement and optimization initiatives.
