Position Summary: We are seeking a seasoned financial professional to oversee and manage key accounting functions within Micasa Global. This role requires a meticulous approach to financial reporting and compliance, ensuring that all transactions are accurately recorded and reported.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the preparation of critical financial reports and transactions, ensuring all deadlines are met with precision.
  • Prepare, document, and modify various journal entries to facilitate Treasury submissions, including necessary adjustments and eliminations.
  • Take ownership of designated financial areas, ensuring accurate preparation, recording, interpretation, and reporting of all financial activities.
  • Conduct regular and specialized reconciliations to validate data integrity and produce financial reports and statements that comply with Treasury and OMB requirements.
  • Prepare annual financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), including necessary disclosures and supporting schedules to evaluate the organization's financial performance.
  • Maintain comprehensive audit trails linking the general ledger to subsidiary records and interfacing management systems.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and standards set forth by recognized accounting authorities.

Required Skills:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, including general ledger management, journal entries, and reconciliations.
  • Extensive knowledge of payment processing, cash management, and employee travel reimbursements.
  • Strong analytical capabilities to identify and resolve complex accounting challenges.
  • Experience in preparing federal financial statements.
  • Proven ability to maintain clear audit trails from the general ledger to subsidiary records.
  • Experience in evaluating operational internal control frameworks.
  • Familiarity with Federal Oracle Financials is advantageous.
  • A bachelor’s degree is required.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Preferred: 3 to 5 years of experience in resolving accounting discrepancies and submitting data within established deadlines.
  • Preferred: At least 3 years of experience in submitting accounting data through federal systems.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience demonstrating knowledge of federal financial management processes, including sub-ledger and general ledger activities, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
