Role Highlights
We are on the lookout for a creative and analytical thinker to become a part of our expanding Paid Media Team as a Social Media Advertising Specialist. This position is pivotal in crafting and executing strategies to enhance performance, reach, and customer acquisition through self-service paid social media platforms (e.g., Facebook/Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Reddit) to meet our revenue and profit objectives. The ideal candidate is adaptable, enthusiastic about paid media, and possesses a robust background in data-driven decision-making. This role operates independently and reports directly to the VP of Digital Media.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and execute scalable paid social media campaign strategies for our listicle/advertorial and Financial Planning categories across major social platforms.
  • Oversee monthly paid media budgets to achieve revenue and gross profit margin (GPM) targets.
  • Provide insights and implement strategies for pricing, ad copy, campaign structuring, targeting, creative, and inventory management.
  • Navigate compliance and targeting regulations to effectively promote offers.
  • Manage comprehensive paid social campaigns, including budget allocation, bidding, performance analysis, and optimization to ensure KPIs are met.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and features on leading social media platforms.
  • Exhibit proficiency in navigating algorithmic platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
  • Effectively communicate reporting, results, strategic initiatives, and growth opportunities to the team.
  • Utilize data to inform decisions and actions aimed at scaling revenue and GPM.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, design, content, and analytics, to enhance channel performance.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of extensive experience with major social media platforms, managing monthly ad expenditures exceeding $100k, preferably within the financial sector.
  • Experience in managing content arbitration and/or advertorial-style campaigns with significant media budgets.
  • Understanding of direct marketing creative best practices and experience in optimizing for campaign performance.
  • Proven track record of creating and managing social media and various marketing channels from inception to completion.
  • Expertise in managing paid social algorithms and leveraging technical solutions for impactful results.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with experience in data analysis, attribution, ads implementation, and platform integration.
  • Experience in strategy development, problem-solving, and results communication.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Google Suite, Google Ads, and Bing Ads.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $120,000 annually, based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
