Position Overview

Position Title: Program Supervisor, Jobs

Department: State Operations & Programs

Reports to: Director, Jobs/Deputy Director, Jobs/State Director

Direct Reports: Varies

Salary Range: $50,000

Position Summary: The Program Supervisor is an exempt role within Best Buddies Jobs (BBJ), directly accountable to the State Director. This position is pivotal in ensuring the success of the Jobs program, which aids individuals with intellectual disabilities in obtaining and maintaining competitive employment.

Key Responsibilities

Program Management

  • Maintain ongoing communication with families, caseworkers, and referral sources to optimize support services.
  • Review all referrals and develop strategies to monitor them, ensuring the program's financial stability.
  • Attend essential meetings and sessions with the Employment Consultant.
  • Oversee required documentation for participants, submitted monthly by Employment Consultants.
  • Collaborate with the Director of BBJ and/or State Director to project and uphold the BBJ annual program budget.
  • Ensure compliance with all contracts established with government agencies.
  • Work with leadership to set and achieve annual programmatic objectives.
  • Guide the program to adhere to all Quest standards and maintain accredited status.
  • Follow established health and safety protocols to ensure the well-being of participants and staff.
  • Develop and monitor monthly financial and placement goals to ensure program stability.
  • Address daily programmatic challenges effectively.

Fund Development

  • Act as a liaison between funding sources and Best Buddies Jobs.
  • Complete monthly billing to funding sources and Best Buddies International.
  • Establish and track financial benchmarks with Employment Consultants to maintain program stability.
  • Oversee grant writing and participation in fundraising activities.

Marketing Initiatives

  • Develop and oversee marketing strategies related to the Jobs program.
  • Network and present to employers, board members, and community stakeholders to generate job leads and funding support.

Operational Duties

  • Maintain communication with headquarters through timely reports, logs, and volunteer lists as directed.
  • Travel as necessary to fulfill responsibilities.
  • Manage special projects related to the above duties as assigned.
  • Work evenings and weekends as required to complete assignments.

Human Resources Management

  • Supervise staff, ensuring their development and providing constructive performance feedback while holding them accountable for meeting goals.
  • Inspire and motivate staff through personal commitment and integrity, offering proactive training and recognition.
  • Manage all human resources activities within the team, consistently following and reinforcing HR policies.
