Position Overview

Role Summary: The Program Supervisor is a vital role within Best Buddies Jobs (BBJ), directly reporting to the State Director. This position is crucial for the success of the Jobs program, which aims to assist individuals with intellectual disabilities in securing and maintaining competitive employment.

Key Responsibilities

Program Management:

  • Maintain ongoing communication with families, caseworkers, and referral sources to enhance support services.
  • Review all referrals and develop strategies to ensure the financial sustainability of the program.
  • Oversee required documentation for participants, ensuring timely submission by Employment Consultants.
  • Collaborate with the Director of BBJ and/or State Director to manage the annual program budget effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with all contracts established with government agencies.
  • Lead the program in adhering to all Quest standards and maintaining accredited status.
  • Implement health and safety guidelines to protect participants and staff.

Fund Development:

  • Act as a liaison between funding sources and Best Buddies Jobs.
  • Prepare and submit monthly billings to funding sources and Best Buddies International.
  • Develop financial benchmarks in collaboration with Employment Consultants to ensure program viability.
  • Oversee grant writing and fundraising activities related to job placements.

Marketing and Outreach:

  • Develop and monitor marketing strategies related to the Jobs program.
  • Network with employers, board members, and community contacts to generate job leads and funding opportunities.

Operational Duties:

  • Maintain communication with headquarters through timely reports and logs.
  • Travel as necessary to fulfill job responsibilities.
  • Manage special projects as assigned.

Human Resources:

  • Supervise staff, ensuring development and accountability in meeting operational goals.
  • Inspire and motivate team members through commitment and integrity.
  • Understand and reinforce human resources policies consistently.
