Key Responsibilities

The Environmental Services Coordinator plays a vital role in planning, managing, and coordinating all activities within the Environmental Services Department. This position supports senior management with documentation, correspondence, and special projects as necessary. The coordinator develops and maintains tracking systems to support initiatives, monitor project progress, and ensure compliance.

Key duties include:

  • Assessing cleanliness, products, and processes for various communities, including the care of carpets and resilient flooring.
  • Implementing and training associates on the Fresh Impressions cleaning program.
  • Providing hands-on assistance with cleaning tasks as needed.
  • Communicating findings from community visits and collaborating with leadership to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Maintaining accurate tracking systems for routine reporting to key partners.
  • Administering programs and initiatives as requested by supervisors.
  • Offering guidance to communities regarding Environmental Services initiatives and procedures.
  • Assisting in the creation of presentation materials for key stakeholders.
  • Supporting emergency transportation coordination when necessary.

Qualifications

Education and Experience: An Associate's Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, along with three to five years of relevant experience, is preferred. Experience in environmental services within senior living, hospitality, healthcare, or educational settings is advantageous.

Certifications: IICRC certification as a Commercial Carpet Maintenance Technician is preferred.

Knowledge and Skills

The ideal candidate will have experience operating floor care equipment and a solid understanding of chemical and fabric properties for effective stain removal. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, along with a customer service-oriented attitude and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

  • Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.
  • Frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds.
  • Exposure to various cleaning chemicals and potential hazards.
  • Occasional weekend or evening work may be required.
