Role SummaryThe Program Supervisor is a key position within Best Buddies Jobs (BBJ), reporting directly to the State Director. This role is pivotal in ensuring the success of the Jobs program, which focuses on assisting individuals with intellectual disabilities in obtaining and sustaining competitive employment.
Key ResponsibilitiesProgram Management:
- Maintain effective communication with families, caseworkers, and referral sources to optimize support services.
- Review and manage referrals to ensure the program's financial viability.
- Attend essential meetings and sessions with Employment Consultants.
- Oversee documentation for participants, ensuring timely submission by Employment Consultants.
- Collaborate with the Director of BBJ and/or State Director to project and manage the annual program budget.
- Ensure compliance with all contracts established with government agencies.
- Set and achieve annual programmatic objectives in partnership with the Director of BBJ and/or State Director.
- Lead the program in adhering to all Quest standards and maintaining accredited status.
- Ensure the health and safety of participants and stakeholders by following established guidelines.
- Develop and monitor financial stability goals for individual placements.
- Address day-to-day programmatic challenges effectively.
Fund Development:
- Act as a liaison between funding sources and Best Buddies Jobs.
- Manage monthly billing processes to funding sources and Best Buddies International.
- Establish and monitor financial benchmarks with Employment Consultants to ensure program stability.
- Oversee grant writing and participation in fundraising activities.
Marketing Initiatives:
- Develop and oversee marketing strategies related to the Jobs program.
- Network and present to employers, board members, and community contacts to cultivate job leads and funding opportunities.
Operational Duties:
- Maintain communication with headquarters through timely reporting and documentation.
- Travel as necessary to fulfill job responsibilities.
- Manage special projects as assigned.
- Work evenings and weekends as required to complete tasks.
Human Resources Management:
- Supervise staff, providing development, oversight, and constructive performance feedback.
- Inspire and motivate team members through commitment and integrity, offering proactive training and recognition.
- Ensure adherence to human resources policies consistently within the team.
