Position Overview
As a leading entity in the life sciences sector, PacBio is at the forefront of developing innovative sequencing technologies aimed at addressing complex genetic challenges. Our commitment to advancing genomics is pivotal in enhancing human health outcomes.

Role Summary
We are seeking a seasoned Lead Financial Strategist to join our Financial Planning & Analysis division. This role is integral to our operations and will involve collaboration with various departments to address intricate financial challenges that influence both internal and external reporting.

Key Responsibilities
1. Develop and refine comprehensive financial models to evaluate bookings, shipments, and revenue metrics, alongside other critical financial indicators for monthly closing and forecasting cycles.
2. Prepare high-level management reports, including presentations for the Board of Directors and month-end financial summaries, encapsulating insights and recommendations.
3. Propose enhancements and implement solutions for system improvements to boost reporting efficiency and scalability.
4. Collaborate with the Accounting team to facilitate month-end closing activities and drive process enhancements.
5. Support all revenue-related activities leading up to quarterly earnings discussions.
6. Engage in various ad-hoc projects as required.

Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Financial Planning & Analysis.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities; adept at developing independent solutions as well as collaborating within a team.
- Proficient in managing large datasets and effectively communicating findings to senior leadership.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with SAP, Salesforce CRM, and financial planning systems (Anaplan or similar) is preferred.
- Ability to work autonomously while meeting deadlines.
- A positive attitude and eagerness to learn new concepts.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Work Environment
Non-field-based employees are expected to be present on-site during designated workdays, with some roles requiring full-time on-site presence. Occasional visits to PacBio locations may be necessary for job performance.

Compensation
The salary range for this position is $112,000 to $168,000.
