Position Title: Technical Program Manager (Java/J2EE, Azure/Terraform)

Location: Remote

Role Overview:

  • Possess over 16 years of experience in overseeing distributed teams utilizing both onshore and offshore models, with a strong background in program management.
  • The primary responsibilities encompass Program Management, Client Relations, and Team Leadership.
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of Java/J2EE technologies, including API Design, Spring Boot, Spring Security, Hibernate, Microservices, Azure, UML, JUnit, and Mocking frameworks, as well as ReactJS and Cloud/Azure principles.
  • Exhibit strong expertise in Java/J2EE technologies and a deep understanding of DevOps practices, including hands-on experience with Terraform and Kubernetes, alongside cloud infrastructure and application migration.
  • Familiarity with Azure technologies such as Azure AD, Azure Storage Accounts, Azure Virtual Machines, Azure SQL, Recovery Service Vault, Azure Load Balancer, Azure Monitor, Azure Public/Private DNS, vNet (Peering), Azure VPN, WebApps, ARM, and CLI.
  • Possess excellent stakeholder management abilities, effectively engaging with various levels of clients.
  • Demonstrate strong reporting capabilities, ensuring timely communication of program status and risk identification.
  • Engage in architectural discussions at the program level, ensuring effective implementation at the Scrum team level.
  • Support the Architect group in the development of the Architectural Roadmap.
  • Guide project teams in accurate estimations and setting PI Objectives during planning sessions.
  • Lead complex projects/programs from initial design through to successful implementation.
  • Oversee the application development lifecycle, employing Agile/Iterative methodologies to deliver impactful software systems in efficient cycles.
  • Manage project priorities and resource allocations to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Define project scope through the identification of business and non-functional requirements, translating them into technical work efforts, SDLC project plans, and work breakdown structures.
  • Ensure project work aligns with Statement of Work (SOW) obligations, maintaining accurate reporting of billable hours for efficient client invoicing.
  • Initiate, assess, and implement change management within the current project scope.
  • Possess hands-on experience in Agile methodologies, preferably in a SAFE environment.
  • Experience in coordinating onshore and offshore teams is essential.
  • Exhibit confidence, articulate communication skills, and a strong desire for personal and professional growth.
