Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Program Director to join our team at Aligned Data Centers. As a Technical Program Director, you will be responsible for driving projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage project plans, including creation of Technical Program Requests (TPRs) and coordination with stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, solutions engineering, and procurement, to ensure technical deliverables are met.
  • Conduct technical reviews of construction plans and communicate conceptual designs to internal teams.
  • Support day-to-day program activities, including engagement with architects, consultants, and equipment providers.
  • Coordinate project activities with building operations and promote safety and compliance initiatives.
  • Own and communicate design status, cost modeling, risk assessment, and follow-through during technical programs.
  • Assist in the creation of programs to track and manage technical projects in real-time.
  • Work with the Platform Delivery team to optimize and improve project delivery schedules and efficiencies.
  • Manage project budgets and work within Aligned's cost tracking system.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in design or project management within a data center environment.
  • Advanced experience in Excel and/or AutoCAD.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, with strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality.
  • Ability to understand and follow clear directions and meet specific deadlines.
  • Team player with strong collaboration skills.
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Knowledge of construction cost estimating methods and development of scopes of work.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project Management Software experience (MS Projects, Prolog, Procore, BIM 360, or similar).
  • CAD experience.
  • Mechanical/Electrical background.
