Overview:

Idaho National Laboratory is seeking a Control Systems Cybersecurity Analyst to contribute to our Cybercore Analysis division. This role operates on a 9x80 schedule, allowing for every other Friday off, and reports to the Senior Manager of the Analysis division.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive technical evaluations of cyber threats targeting industrial control systems utilized across various sectors, including military and critical infrastructure.
  • Serve as a key contributor with expertise in intelligence analysis, cybersecurity, and engineering disciplines.
  • Lead collaborative initiatives involving multiple analysts, control systems experts, power engineers, and cybersecurity researchers to achieve a blend of short- and long-term technical objectives.
  • Translate complex information into clear, concise written reports, presentations, and strategic documents for audiences without technical backgrounds, leveraging a solid understanding of engineering or computer science principles.
  • Integrate technical knowledge with threat assessment to mitigate cyber threats aimed at industrial control systems within essential infrastructure sectors, such as energy, transportation, and military.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Educational background: Bachelor's degree with 5-9 years of relevant experience, Master's degree with 2-6 years, or Doctorate with 2-4 years of applicable experience; or equivalent years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Demonstrated experience in producing published analyses on cybersecurity topics or industrial control systems in critical sectors is highly desirable.
  • Experience in intelligence analysis and authorship of reports for governmental entities is preferred. Educational or professional experience in computer science, cybersecurity for operational technology, or industrial control systems is advantageous.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy "Q" clearance and SCI, which necessitates U.S. citizenship.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary range for this position is Level 3 ($91,008 - $186,588) / Level 4 ($109,260 - $223,908), determined by factors such as education and relevant experience.
