Senior Vice President of Project Management

The Senior Vice President of Project Management is a key strategic leader who remains informed about advancements in their field and contributes to the overarching strategy by applying insights to their role and the organization.
Advanced communication and negotiation skills are essential to guide, influence, and persuade others, particularly colleagues from different departments and occasional external partners.
This position has a significant impact on the organization through complex deliverables. It provides guidance and counsel related to the technology or operations of the organization. The work influences an entire area, ultimately affecting the overall performance and efficiency of the job family.Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily management of executing project milestones and budgets across multiple initiatives.
Evaluate the creation of project plans, charters, stakeholder management strategies, acceptance criteria, and centralized project issue logs.
Collaborate with the Project Sponsor to ensure that the business case and cost-benefit analysis align with organizational objectives and confirm that project plans meet the identified business needs.
Ensure that all stakeholders are recognized and engaged in defining the project scope and are aware of the project timeline and critical milestones.Escalate project risks to the Project Director or Project Sponsor as necessary.
Monitor vendor performance and take appropriate actions if performance does not meet expectations.
Provide sophisticated analysis with interpretive thinking to identify challenges and develop innovative solutions.
This role directly influences the organization by impacting strategic functional decisions through advice, counsel, or provided services.
Exhibit the ability to operate with a limited level of direct oversight.
Demonstrate independence of judgment and autonomy.
Act as a subject matter expert to senior stakeholders and team members.
Appropriately assess risks when making business decisions, demonstrating particular consideration for the organization's reputation and safeguarding its clients and assets by ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal conduct and business practices, and transparently escalating, managing, and reporting control issues.
Qualifications: 6-10 years of relevant experiencePrior industry experience is essential.
Completely knowledgeable about the daily operations of a product or process; possesses a basic understanding of the organization's various businesses and the associated economics; expected to be a subject matter expert in one or more specific skill sets.
Holds a comprehensive understanding of how their area and others collectively integrate to achieve organizational objectives.Education:
Bachelor's/University degree; Master's degree preferred.
