The Senior Vice President of Financial Reporting and Risk Management is a key professional tasked with overseeing CFO Attestation and control initiatives across the FR Y-14 (Q/M/A) schedules. This role is essential in leading the development of materials that support the CCAR CFO attestation process.

Key Responsibilities:

This individual will be accountable for executing the following functions across the FR Y-14 Schedules and the broader CCAR datasets:

  • Direct schedule-level control activities, including the formulation and execution of a control framework (e.g., reconciliations, variance analysis, periodic schedule quality checks, adjustments review, EUC verification, and data quality diagnostics) for assigned schedules.
  • Utilize analytical tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau, etc.) to visualize risks and guide management decisions.
  • Provide insights on risk and data quality through verbal, written, and interactive digital content to key stakeholders.
  • Evaluate and address report production issues related to FR Y-14 (e.g., data quality, adjustments, reconciliations) and communicate findings to senior management.
  • Create attestation materials and dashboards for senior management, summarizing review outcomes prior to submission.
  • Facilitate and promote technology implementations to enhance automation.
  • Develop and present schedule-level materials that support CFO attestation, including attestation packages.
  • Assist in QMMF and annual CCAR activities for FR Y-14 Actuals.
  • Contribute to the creation of report-level materials that support CFO attestation.
  • Mentor and develop team members to foster a high-performing team focused on schedule-level analytics and reporting activities.
  • Collaborate with schedule owners to continuously improve reporting controls and analytics at the schedule level.

The Senior Vice President will engage closely with various key stakeholders across the organization, including Risk, CDO, Finance, the Regulatory Reporting Interpretive Office, Citi Business Lines, Regulators, and senior business leaders.

Qualifications:

Experience:

  • Over 10 years of experience in Financial/Regulatory Reporting/Risk Management (Credit, Market, or Liquidity) within a major global financial institution.
  • Experience in regulatory reporting (e.g., FR Y-14, FR Y-9C).
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex financial reporting items in a high-profile environment and develop/deploy analytics frameworks within a large financial institution.
  • Familiarity with Risk and Finance reporting data infrastructures and platforms (Citi systems knowledge preferred) across multiple products, functions, and/or businesses.
  • Senior leadership and project management experience within a major global financial institution.

Professional Skills:

  • Ability to manage ad-hoc requests across various schedules and handle senior management inquiries.
  • Strong proficiency in extracting and analyzing large datasets from databases.
  • Experience with dashboarding tools like Tableau (preferred).
  • In-depth product knowledge in Derivatives, Trading, wholesale products, retail, and securitization (and related FR Y-14 schedules, preferably gained through experience in risk management, finance, regulatory reporting, or operations).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the capacity to assimilate large amounts of information to make well-reasoned decisions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting complex concepts clearly.
  • Detail-oriented with robust organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to build relationships and collaborate effectively across the organization.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capability to manage multiple priorities and tasks, and to escalate concerns or raise questions as necessary.
  • Proficient problem-solving abilities to navigate various situations and achieve results.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Financial Engineering, Mathematics, or Statistics. CPA/CFA/FRM qualifications are advantageous.
