Position Overview

Link Solutions is in search of a PC Systems Specialist to become part of our team.
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Non-remote (relocation incentive available)
The PC Systems Specialist will provide essential support to the US Army Corrections Command (ACC) Army Corrections Brigade (ACB) G6. This role involves delivering various computer hardware and software services to end users, ensuring the smooth operation of government IT systems.

This position offers the chance to engage in innovative projects while contributing to national security efforts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, configure, relocate, troubleshoot, and maintain PC/server hardware and software.
  • Perform software upgrades and optimize operating systems for enhanced performance.
  • Set up network interfaces and Internet connections; diagnose and resolve network issues.
  • Implement and maintain specialized software, ensuring data security and effective database management.
  • Establish and design standards for current and future information systems.
  • Lead multiple projects, providing expertise and technical guidance throughout the planning and implementation phases.
  • Address support tickets for users within the Training Management Directorate (TMD).
  • Report project status and tasks directly to Senior Leadership.
  • Provide help desk support, diagnosing issues and offering temporary solutions as needed.
  • Assist users with inquiries and provide technical support for PC systems and applications.
  • Coordinate support efforts with the local Network Enterprise Center.

Qualifications:
  • US Citizen
  • Must possess or be eligible to obtain and maintain a Tier 3 Secret Clearance.
  • BA/BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or five (5+) years of experience in a desktop support role with a solid understanding of computer science principles, or an IAT Level II Certification (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent).
  • Experience with SharePoint site administration and development.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Active Tier 3 Secret Security Clearance.
  • Proficient problem solver with a knack for troubleshooting complex issues.
  • Self-motivated individual requiring minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, along with excellent interpersonal abilities.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the capacity to manage multiple priorities.
