Position Overview

Link Solutions is in search of a PC Systems Specialist to enhance our team.
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Non-remote position (relocation incentives available)
The PC Systems Specialist will provide support to the US Army Corrections Command (ACC) Army Corrections Brigade (ACB) G6. This role involves delivering a variety of computer hardware and software services to end users, ensuring the smooth operation of government IT systems.

This position offers the chance to engage in innovative projects while contributing to national security efforts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot PC/server hardware and software.
  • Manage software upgrades and optimize operating systems for enhanced performance.
  • Set up network interfaces and Internet connections; identify and resolve network issues.
  • Install and maintain specialized software, ensuring data security and documenting procedures.
  • Develop and implement standards for current and future information systems.
  • Lead multiple projects, providing technical guidance and subject matter expertise.
  • Assist users with support tickets for the Training Management Directorate (TMD).
  • Report project status and tasks to Senior Leadership.
  • Provide help desk support, diagnosing issues and offering temporary solutions.
  • Respond to user inquiries, offering technical assistance on PC systems and applications.
  • Coordinate support efforts with the local Network Enterprise Center.

Qualifications:
  • US Citizenship required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Tier 3 Secret Clearance.
  • BA/BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or five (5+) years of experience in a desktop support role with a solid understanding of computer science principles, or an IAT Level II Certification (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent).
  • Experience with SharePoint site administration and optimization.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Active Tier 3 Secret Security Clearance.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a knack for troubleshooting complex issues.
  • Self-motivated individual requiring minimal supervision.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
