Key Responsibilities

The Clinical Nurse Specialist will:

  • Prepare, organize, and administer daily medications to patients.
  • Monitor and document any adverse reactions or side effects experienced by patients, ensuring to consult with the supervising medical authority when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records of medication administration on the patient's medication administration record (MAR).
  • Be equipped to perform lifesaving procedures in emergencies, including CPR, utilizing an AED, and assessing vital signs.
  • Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals, local hospitals, pharmacies, and emergency services.
  • Oversee and guide the work of Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Nursing Assistants.
Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing and at least one year of relevant experience within the past two years.
  • A current, unrestricted Registered Nurse license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from a recognized provider.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and sound judgment, capable of working independently or as part of a team.
Physical Requirements

Candidates should be able to:

  • Lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
  • Stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Perform twisting, bending, and squatting movements as needed.
Security Clearance

While there are no current security clearance requirements for this role, candidates must successfully pass a background check. US Citizenship is required for this position.
