Clinical Nurse Specialist

Vision Technology, Inc is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to support our Medication Management, Administration, and Distribution Services. This role is crucial in providing essential healthcare services within a correctional environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and oversee the daily medication regimen for inmates.
- Monitor and document any adverse reactions or side effects related to medications, ensuring timely communication with healthcare authorities as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of medication administration on the patient's medication administration record (MAR).
- Respond effectively in emergency situations, performing lifesaving measures such as CPR and trauma assessment.
- Collaborate with various healthcare professionals, including local hospitals and mental health services, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Assist in maintaining medical records and support patients in adhering to their prescribed treatment plans.
- Supervise and guide Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Nursing Assistants in their duties.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing with at least one year of relevant experience within the past two years.
- Possession of a current, unrestricted RN license, with the ability to obtain necessary state licensure.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from a recognized provider.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with colleagues and external contacts.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills and sound judgment, capable of working independently or collaboratively.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
- Capability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Flexibility to twist, bend, and squat as needed.
