Key Responsibilities:- Help Desk Support: Provide timely and effective assistance to users with computer-related issues.
- Hardware and Software Support: Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain PC/server hardware and software, including operating systems, network interfaces, and Internet connections.
- Software Upgrades and Configuration: Install and configure software upgrades, configure and perform tuning of operating systems to enhance PC performance.
- Network Support: Install and configure network interfaces and Internet connections, diagnose network cable and configuration problems.
- Specialized Software Support: Install and maintain specialized software, including performing setup functions, developing associated file structures, report formats, and input forms, ensuring file security, performing data entry to populate associated databases, and documenting procedures.
- Standards Development: Implement and design an organization-wide set of standards for future and existing information systems.
- Project Management: Direct and lead multiple projects, including the planning, design, organization, and implementation while providing subject matter expertise and technical guidance.
- Ticket Support: Support tickets for Training Management Directorate (TMD) users.
- Reporting and Communication: Report directly to Senior Leadership regarding ongoing projects and tasks, respond to user inquiries and requests, and provide technical assistance on PC systems, related hardware and software, and standard applications.
- Coordination: Coordinate support with the local Network Enterprise Center.
- US Citizenship: Must be a US Citizen.
- Clearance: Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
- Education and Experience: BA/BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or five (5+) years in a desktop support role with a comprehensive understanding of computer science concepts, or an IAT Level II Certification (CompTIA Security+ CE equivalent or higher).
- SharePoint Experience: Experience with SharePoint-related site administration, optimization, and development experience.
- Active Secret Clearance: Active Secret Clearance.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Problem solver and troubleshooter who thrives in resolving complex problems.
- Self-Motivation: Strong self-starter requiring minimal supervision.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
- Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
