Senior Operations Manager

Job Overview:
The Senior Operations Manager oversees the daily functions of multiple complex departments that deliver outpatient care services. This role ensures that the team provides high-quality, accessible, and cost-efficient care, focusing on patient-centered services that comply with all relevant regulations. The position is responsible for implementing and upholding clinical standards, managing budgets, and fostering staff development. The Senior Operations Manager role is distinguished from the standard Operations Manager position by the number and complexity of departments overseen, as well as the level of integration required across various service areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Directs daily operations to ensure compliance with the Nurse Practice Act, NCQA, and all local, state, and federal regulations.
- Establishes and maintains patient care and quality service standards to meet the expectations of members and internal stakeholders.
- Acts as an advocate for patients, addressing any care-related concerns.
- Evaluates and recommends process improvements to enhance systems and patient care outcomes.
- Assists in the development and oversight of budgets and resource distribution.
- Monitors financial performance, identifying strategies to reduce costs while enhancing quality of care and services.
- Determines optimal staffing levels for departments and develops processes for recruitment, training, and competency maintenance of staff.
- Facilitates ongoing professional development for team members.
- Implements and enforces departmental policies and procedures that align with organizational goals and objectives.
- Collaborates with physicians and department leaders to optimize patient services and daily operations.
- Manages human resources, labor relations, employee safety, and risk management issues.
Experience
- At least three (3) years of management experience.
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare, public or business administration, or a related field OR four (4) years of relevant experience.
- High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) is required.

- Comprehensive knowledge of healthcare delivery in outpatient settings and quality assurance practices.
- Experience in developing and executing effective programs and change initiatives.
- Ability to prioritize and make decisions based on organizational needs and customer requirements.
- Strong interpersonal and influence skills to build and maintain relationships with medical staff, administration, and the community.
- Proven ability to lead and develop a cohesive team.
- Experience in healthcare management.
- Master's Degree (MPH, MPA, MBA) or a related healthcare field is preferred.
- Registered Nurse, Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or other relevant healthcare license in the state.
- Registered Nurse or Advanced Practice Provider credentials.
- This position encompasses multiple locations.
