Position Overview

The Senior Manager of Operations will oversee Annuity Operations teams, emphasizing production efficiency and the delivery of services to both internal and external stakeholders. This role is crucial in ensuring departmental objectives align with the overarching company strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead daily operational activities and associated functions.
  • Manage personnel administration and ensure adequate staffing levels to achieve production targets and budgetary goals.
  • Facilitate training, coaching, and mentoring for team members while promoting professional development opportunities.
  • Act as a point of escalation for teams to maintain high customer satisfaction levels.
  • Design, implement, and oversee operational workflows to fulfill internal and external service level agreements.
  • Prepare and present ongoing management reports to diverse audiences.
  • Compile revenue variance explanations, root cause analyses, and corrective action plans for monthly review discussions.
  • Contribute as a member of the Operations management team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant business field or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of eight years in an operations setting, preferably within the insurance or financial services sector.
  • At least five years of management experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of variable annuity investment products.
  • Possession of FINRA Series 6 (or ability to obtain within 120 days of hire).
  • Possession of FINRA Series 26 (or ability to obtain within 180 days of hire).
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, along with interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities under pressure.
  • Capability to understand complex technical concepts and effectively communicate them to staff and clients.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Work Environment:

This position is designated as Hybrid, requiring attendance at the company office approximately 1-3 days per week, with the remainder of the work conducted from home or another approved workspace.

Compensation Overview:

The salary for this role typically ranges from $90,000 to $119,000 annually, based on qualifications and operational requirements. This range is an estimate and may vary according to applicable laws.
