About the Role:
As a Senior Facilities Operations Manager at CBRE, you will oversee various aspects of building management and maintenance for a facility, campus, or collection of properties.
This position is integral to the Facilities Management sector, concentrating on all elements of the operations of a portfolio of assets, providing essential support to Property Managers concerning repairs and investment strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide formal leadership to team members. Monitor the training and professional growth of staff. Conduct performance assessments and offer coaching. Supervise the recruitment and onboarding of new personnel.
2. Organize and direct the daily operations of the team. Develop work schedules, allocate tasks, and facilitate cross-training among staff. Establish and monitor departmental deadlines.
3. Oversee facility repairs and maintenance by collaborating with technicians, vendors, and contractors.
4. Foster positive client relationships and lead discussions on unresolved facility matters.
5. Prepare and manage significant capital projects, operational budgets, and variance reports.
6. Conduct facility inspections for quality assurance in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Propose and implement operational improvements, repairs, and upgrade opportunities.
7. Develop and enforce environmental health and safety protocols for facilities.
8. Cultivate vendor relationships and manage invoicing processes. Review and authorize purchase orders for the procurement of materials, services, and labor for projects.
9. Leverage extensive knowledge of the business and your area of expertise to achieve team and departmental goals.
10. Lead by example, embodying the values of CBRE. Encourage others to consider alternative perspectives while adhering to policies and departmental plans.
11. Identify and resolve complex technical and operational challenges.
12. Recognize and understand the broader implications across the department.
13. Enhance and refine existing methods, processes, and standards within your area of expertise.
Qualifications:
1. A Bachelor's Degree is preferred, along with 5 - 8 years of relevant experience. A combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. A valid driver's license is required. Facility Management certification is a plus.
2. Experience in staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, performance measurement, and retention is preferred.
3. Strong leadership abilities to inspire the team to meet broad operational objectives impacting multiple job disciplines.
4. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
5. Exceptional organizational skills and a proactive, inquisitive mindset.
6. Intermediate mathematical skills, with the ability to perform complex calculations such as percentages and fractions.
7. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship.
Compensation and Benefits:
CBRE considers various factors to determine compensation, including education, training, and experience. The salary range for this position is competitive, and successful candidates may also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE's benefit program.
