Job Summary:

The Leave Administration Expert will oversee and manage leave requests and accommodations that require specialized handling, particularly those related to the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), as well as state and local leave regulations and disability plans. This role will collaborate with various teams within the People Solutions Department, including Operations, Compensation & Benefits, Workers Compensation, Employee Relations, and Health & Wellness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer various leave programs including sick leave, FMLA, parental leave, short and long-term disability, military leave, and personal leave.
  • Ensure equitable administration of leave programs across the organization.
  • Conduct lifecycle transactions in compliance with established policies and regulations; analyze utilization trends through reports and dashboards.
  • Respond to employee inquiries through our service management system.
  • Monitor all phases of the leave process.
  • Document and audit required eligibility documentation as per policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate with benefits and payroll teams to ensure seamless communication.
  • Support staff regarding leave processes and related programs.
  • Engage with the People Solutions team, employees, third-party administrators, and managers throughout the leave process regarding eligibility, approvals, and return-to-work procedures.
  • Generate reports to assess and analyze leave utilization and trends.
  • Assist with Workers Compensation claims until dedicated personnel are appointed, providing ongoing support as necessary.

  • Meticulous attention to detail; adept at prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Excellent customer service skills are essential.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced Excel.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in leave of absence administration.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer.
