OVERVIEW

Financial Treasury Specialists focus on a blend of responsibilities across Cash Management, Corporate Finance, and Payment Processing within the Treasury Division. Cash Management encompasses daily cash oversight, forecasting, and documenting financial transactions in the general ledger. Corporate Finance involves strategies for capital markets, debt/equity issuance, hedging (fixed/float/FX), and liquidity oversight. Payment Processing entails managing various payment methods such as ACH, accounts receivable check scanning, credit cards, and troubleshooting payment discrepancies with service providers. Financial Treasury Specialists cultivate robust relationships with internal stakeholders, auditors, third-party banks, and other financial service entities.

This position is hybrid.

JOB DUTIES
  • Oversees daily cash positioning and ensures sufficient liquidity for the organization and its subsidiaries.
  • Collects and manages cash flows from operational, investment, and financing activities. Executes necessary cash transfers, reconciles daily cash movements, and records daily transactions in general ledger accounts.
  • Prepares, verifies, and maintains a global short-term cash forecast for the organization. Analyzes discrepancies in forecasts to improve cash forecasting techniques.
  • Assists with various Treasury topics including capital markets strategies, debt/equity issuance, hedging strategies, liquidity management, and Treasury reporting.
  • Supports a range of payment processing systems including credit card transactions, accounts receivable check scanning, and ACH payment collections.
  • Maintains relationships with partner banks, merchant card processors, and payment gateway vendors. Acts as a liaison, identifies solutions to enhance efficiencies, and resolves banking/payment processing challenges and errors.
  • Manages user access and permissions for bank accounts, payment systems, and Treasury-related accounts with third-party vendors.
  • Coordinates the opening and closing of bank accounts, and keeps an inventory of bank, payment gateway, and merchant processing accounts.
  • Identifies and proposes methods to integrate payment processes into the organization’s operations to offer a broader range of services. Takes a leadership role in implementing these services by collaborating with operations, accounting, IT, and innovation teams.
  • Reconciles various balance sheet accounts, including property-level sales and security deposit escrow accounts.
  • Maintains documented procedures to ensure adequate support during scheduled absences.
  • Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Required)
  • 2 years of professional experience in Finance, Accounting, or Banking
  • 2 years of Treasury and/or General Ledger experience
  • Self-motivated individual with strong attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to foster good working relationships while maintaining profitability
  • Excellent organizational capabilities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
