Coffee Specialist

Join our dynamic team at Sun Communities, where we take pride in delivering exceptional service and quality beverages. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Coffee Specialist who is enthusiastic about crafting delightful drinks and providing outstanding customer experiences.

POSITION SUMMARY

As a Coffee Specialist, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a diverse range of premium coffee, tea, and other beverages to our team members at the cafe. Your role will involve ensuring a clean and hygienic beverage station, maintaining stock levels of supplies, and assisting in various operational tasks as required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Welcome team members and take beverage orders; prepare and serve high-quality espresso, coffee, tea, and assorted food items in line with established service protocols.
  • Organize, maintain, and present food selections from the pastry display.
  • Execute opening and closing procedures for your shift as directed.
  • Clean, sanitize, and uphold the beverage preparation area, including all counters and equipment.
  • Adhere to food safety standards, including monitoring product freshness and expiration dates.
  • Replenish food, beverages, paper goods, and utensils as necessary.
  • Receive and distribute incoming deliveries efficiently.
  • Maintain product availability by managing inventory levels and communicating any shortages.
  • Provide knowledgeable service to team members regarding menu offerings.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as product ordering, stock organization, and vendor coordination.
  • Address and resolve quality and service concerns, escalating issues to management when needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a coffee service role is preferred.
  • At least one year of experience in a customer service position.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Professional demeanor and appearance.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in email and internet usage.
