Patient Scheduling Coordinator

Position Summary: The Clinical Appointment Specialist, under the guidance of the Clinical Scheduling Supervisor, is responsible for managing incoming calls, coordinating patient examinations, and addressing customer service inquiries. This role also includes ensuring adequate time intervals between appointments to facilitate the completion of medical assessments and procedures by physicians.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answering and directing incoming calls professionally.
- Setting up patient appointments and managing scheduling conflicts.
- Maintaining patient databases and ensuring accuracy in patient records.
- Performing clerical tasks such as faxing, scanning, and updating patient information.
- Providing excellent customer service, especially in challenging situations.
- Referring patients to appropriate staff or physicians when necessary.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in a healthcare setting.
- Proficient in computer applications, including word processing and spreadsheets.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

- Ability to communicate effectively over the phone and in person.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Detail-oriented with the capability to identify and address verification issues.
- Technological proficiency for data tracking and management.
- Capacity to work independently in a dynamic environment.
Physical Requirements:

- Ability to operate various office equipment.
- Exposure to standard indoor working conditions with occasional light lifting.
