Job Summary

Smith Therapy Partners is seeking a highly skilled Scheduling Specialist to join our team at our W Alta location in Las Vegas. As a Scheduling Specialist, you will be responsible for answering inbound new patient calls, placing outbound new patient calls, and performing accurate data entry into our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Answering inbound new patient calls and placing outbound new patient calls from faxed referrals.
  • Analysis of incoming referrals to place calls and perform accurate data entry into our EMR.
  • Understanding of Insurance benefits and authorizations for obtaining prior to scheduling if required.
  • Collaboration, Communication Skills, Interpersonal Skills, Technical and Scheduling skills to assist patients with appointment time and date for Initial Evaluation and the 5 following visits.
  • Thorough knowledge of problem-solving methodologies.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize various demands.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Action oriented and driven for results.
  • A self-starter and to work with minimal direction.
  • Ability to work with a sense of urgency to meet deadlines.

Requirements
  • Education: minimum high school diploma, college a plus but not mandatory if meeting experience requirements.
  • Experience: at least two years of relevant work experience and the skills necessary for the position.
  • Language: Bi-lingual / Spanish preferred.
