Position Overview:

The Head of Strategic Partnerships will spearhead the proactive sales initiatives for our premium product lines within the Decorative Finishes category. This role is primarily focused on engaging with the Architect and Design (A&D) community, emphasizing a sales-driven approach rather than project oversight.

Key Details:
  • Location: Remote with occasional travel required.
  • Reports to: Senior Leadership.
  • Compensation: Competitive base salary with uncapped commission potential, reflecting a total projected annual compensation range.
Core Responsibilities:
  • Formulate and implement outbound lead generation strategies to meet annual sales targets.
  • Drive additional revenue to surpass the company's sales and profit goals.
  • Establish a systematic approach to identify and follow up on A&D leads, employing a proactive sales mindset.
  • Engage with key industry influencers and decision-makers to enhance awareness and sales of our products.
  • Build and nurture relationships with strategic market influencers, including architects, engineers, and designers.
  • Identify new sales channels and cultivate partnerships that align with our business strategy.
  • Collaborate with the sales team on all identified opportunities, providing ongoing support through various communication methods.
  • Conduct regular meetings with potential clients at their locations and assist sales representatives in maintaining and expanding client relationships.
  • Utilize sound judgment to promote product sales and enhance brand visibility.
  • Meet with company leadership to ensure operational excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Present a comprehensive business plan to leadership detailing quarterly objectives and strategies for account relationship building.
  • Align necessary investments and expenditures to support sales initiatives.
  • Maintain and utilize sales reporting tools to track performance metrics and develop action plans for improvement.
  • Perform various administrative tasks related to sales operations, ensuring timely and efficient project transitions.
  • Keep accurate records of travel and entertainment expenses.
Additional Duties:

Marketing Engagement:
  • Deliver educational presentations to industry professionals to enhance brand recognition and drive sales.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to recommend outreach initiatives and event participation.
  • Represent the company at industry events and trade shows to promote our offerings.
  • Provide insights to leadership on marketing and promotional strategies to boost sales.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of sales-led initiatives to optimize future participation.
Cross-Departmental Collaboration:
  • Offer feedback to marketing and product teams to inform adjustments to strategies and product offerings.
  • Conduct competitive analysis to identify opportunities for market share growth.
  • Contribute to the development of marketing materials and product specifications.
  • Monitor competitor pricing and recommend adjustments to maximize profitability.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial sales within the home and building products sector.
  • Team-oriented with a positive, proactive attitude.
  • Established network of industry contacts.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM systems.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Exceptional organizational and communication abilities.
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset.
