Role Overview:
This Senior Manager, Technical Program Management for Infotainment, Connectivity, and Autonomous Hardware position encompasses the entire spectrum from component development to functional sub-system validation. You will lead a proficient TPM team that plays a crucial role in delivering infotainment, connectivity, and autonomous hardware for Rivian vehicles. The team's responsibilities include custom-designed compute modules, antennas, audio systems, sensors, displays, and certification processes.

Your team will set timelines and oversee these module programs with a high degree of initiative, organization, technical expertise, and practicality. Additionally, the manager will facilitate coordination among the sub-systems product development teams, including hardware and software stakeholders, from architectural design through to validation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and facilitate the development and integration of relevant components and modules in collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams.
  • Guide and mentor talented TPMs to enhance their skills and advance their careers.
  • Establish strong partnerships with engineering and vehicle line leadership to address escalations and resolve issues.
  • Ensure module programs are meticulously planned to align with Rivian vehicle program requirements, adapting plans as new information arises.
  • Oversee the execution of module programs, providing assistance to teams as necessary, and regularly communicating status updates to stakeholders.
  • Identify and mitigate programmatic risks, proactively addressing issues and removing obstacles to meet timelines.
  • Champion practical process and system enhancements to improve team efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Over 10 years of experience in leading technical programs.
  • At least 5 years of experience managing a team of program managers or equivalent roles.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field is required.
  • Proven experience in mentoring and directly managing technical program managers, along with establishing and implementing process improvements across an organization.
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical hardware design, development, validation, and integration processes, including software integration experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in establishing and managing core technology roadmaps (e.g., sensors, displays).
  • Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams to swiftly resolve complex challenges.
  • Experience delivering intricate projects within tight timelines.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; capable of engaging with all organizational levels.
  • High-level analytical skills for addressing unusual and complex problems.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary to support development efforts.

Compensation and Benefits:
Salary Range for California Based Candidates: $213,000 - $266,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law.

Benefits Summary: Rivian offers comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance packages for full-time employees, their spouses or domestic partners, and children up to age 26. Coverage begins on the first day of employment, with Rivian covering most of the premiums.
