Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled IT Systems Engineer to enhance our operations at Mirion.

The successful candidate will possess a robust IT background, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a corporate setting.


Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and oversee backup solutions utilizing Veeam software.
- Provide assistance to the Service Desk team, resolving issues at the end-user, network, and server application levels.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Take a proactive role in IT projects such as Backup/Recovery and Infrastructure Monitoring (both On-Premises and Cloud-based).
- Investigate unusual conditions, inform stakeholders, and coordinate necessary corrective actions.
- Research and assess new technologies and services. Participate in IT systems project planning, design, implementation, documentation, and maintenance.
- Facilitate cross-training among team members.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in IT or a related discipline, or 5 years of relevant experience.
- Strong troubleshooting and technical abilities, including experience with hardware, software, operating systems, and networking.
- In-depth knowledge of backup concepts and technologies, with practical experience in Veeam software.
- Veeam VMCE or VMCA certification is preferred.
- Self-driven, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- May require occasional travel or after-hours work.
