Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Representative to join our team at Ingram Logistics Services. As a key member of our growth and expansion venture, you will play a crucial role in securing new profitable and sustainable customers for our International third-party Logistics services.

Your primary focus will be on growing our Ocean and Air freight business, with a strong emphasis on Bulk, Breakbulk, Containerized, and LCL services. You will be responsible for managing sales meetings, presenting recommendations for supply chain improvements, and closing sales to drive revenue growth and business profitability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prospect, plan, and conduct face-to-face visits with new prospective customers to showcase our strengths in Ocean and Air services.
  • Partner with customers to gather information on their needs and offer tailored solutions within our Ingram Logistics suite of services.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop customized solutions for customers, ensuring alignment with corporate strategies in forecasting, business planning, and pipeline development.
  • Track and report pipeline health and maintenance using CRM and pipeline reports.
  • Foster global expansion through our existing Ingram agent network and pursue new agent partners that align with our strategic global trade lane development initiatives.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of three years commercial experience with a global third-party logistics provider.
  • A minimum of three years commercial and/or operational experience with a global third-party bulk/breakbulk logistics provider (preferred).
  • Daily local/regional travel required, with occasional overnight travel (25%).
  • Advanced knowledge of logistical concepts and supply chain terminology.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong ability to persuade, motivate, and influence others.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of programs.
