INTERNSHIP DETAILS:

NCOSE is on the lookout for a committed and professional Compassionate Communications Intern. This role is essential for the smooth operation of our organization, encompassing responsibilities such as managing the front desk, handling phone inquiries, and efficiently responding to emails. This internship provides a unique chance for students or recent graduates to gain practical experience in human resources within a purpose-driven organization. Interns will engage in various human resources functions, including recruitment, onboarding, performance assessment, and policy formulation. This role offers a valuable perspective on the nonprofit sector, allowing interns to play a part in nurturing an organizational culture that actively combats sexual exploitation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Welcome and assist visitors at the front desk with professionalism and warmth.
  • Handle incoming phone calls, providing basic information and directing inquiries as necessary.
  • Maintain and update office databases and systems as required.
  • Support various HR functions, which may include recruitment, policy evaluation, onboarding, and performance reviews.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Human Resources on team initiatives and projects.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A strong commitment to opposing sexual exploitation and a passion for NCOSE's mission.
  • Current university student or recent graduate.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other office management tools.
  • Must provide a personal laptop and charger.

COMPENSATION:

This internship is unpaid, though a modest monthly stipend may be available based on qualifications and hours worked.

SCHEDULE:

This position requires a commitment of 24-40 hours per week, with availability primarily during standard office hours.
