Position Overview:

The EOF Office Intern will assist the Educational Opportunity Fund (EOF) Office by participating in diverse recruitment initiatives, processing applications, managing social media platforms, creating promotional materials, and aiding in student follow-ups and event organization. This role is suited for detail-oriented, proactive individuals with strong communication abilities. Must be located in New Jersey, this is an in-person internship opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

I. Recruitment Initiatives:

Engage with schools to advocate EOF programs and attract potential students.

Contact prospective students to provide insights about the EOF program and address their inquiries.

Assist in organizing recruitment events and presentations.

II. Application Management:

Review student applications for evaluation by the EOF Director and Coordinator.

Ensure all application documents are complete and accurately recorded.

III. Social Media Oversight:

Administer and refresh EOF social media accounts, including LinkedIn, Instagram, and TikTok.

Generate engaging content to promote EOF events, deadlines, and success narratives.

Monitor social media interactions and respond to inquiries.

IV. Marketing Activities:

Design and distribute flyers, brochures, and other promotional materials to highlight EOF programs and events.

Collaborate with the marketing team to develop innovative campaigns that attract and inform students.

V. Student Engagement:

Reach out to students regarding academic performance.

Follow up with students who have not been attending scheduled meetings.

Provide support and resources to students as necessary.

VI. Records Administration:

Maintain and update digital records of student information and program data.

Ensure all records are accurate, confidential, and easily accessible for EOF staff.

VII. Supervision:

Act as the direct supervisor to work-study students, providing guidance and support.

Delegate tasks and ensure work-study students complete their assignments efficiently.

VIII. Customer Support:

Serve as the first point of contact for all EOF inquiries, providing excellent customer service.

Assist visitors and students with questions and direct them to the appropriate resources.

IX. Event Coordination:

Assist in the setup and execution of EOF events, including workshops, orientations, and social gatherings.

Conduct at least two EOF events per semester, ensuring they are well-organized and impactful.

Qualifications:

Ability to work 20 hours per week.

Currently enrolled in a graduate program, preferably in education, communications, marketing, or a related field.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in social media platforms and content creation.

Basic knowledge of graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Spark).

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Experience in customer service or a related field is a plus.
