Founded in 1997, our facility has grown to a 203-bed hospital

AdventHealth Celebration Health was designed as a Mediterranean resort-style establishment, serving as a cornerstone of health in a planned community.

The hospital consistently provides a state-of-the-art healing environment to residents and visitors alike, integrating mind, body, and spirit in the fight against illness and disease.

Your role and contributions:

The Fitness Class Coordinator serves as a developer, mentor, and supervisor of the group fitness classes, programs, and services offered. This role involves creating, promoting, implementing, coordinating, supervising, and evaluating high-quality group fitness programs that help wellness center members achieve their fitness objectives. Ensuring a safe class environment for all participants is paramount, as is fostering member retention through active engagement and support.

• Conducts quality classes by adhering to scheduled times, preparing lessons in advance, and ensuring classes align with organizational policies


• Delivers the appropriate class format tailored to the specific offerings


• Monitors participant safety throughout all phases of the class, providing professional corrections as needed


• Maintains professionalism in all interactions with members and staff


• Reports any incidents or injuries using the proper documentation and follows up as instructed by the Group Fitness Manager


• Ensures adequate class coverage in case of illness, injury, or vacation, and may conduct off-site classes


• Promotes and provides wellness services at events, both on-site and off-site, as required


• Performs additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

The knowledge and experience needed for success:

Preferred Knowledge and Experience:


• Strong customer service skills with the ability to address complex customer service challenges


• Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and comprehending conversational English


• Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office

Required Education and Experience:

High School Graduate or Equivalent, with no prior experience required

Licensure, Certification, or Registration Required:


• Group Fitness Instructor certification from the American Council on Exercise


• Certification in Automated External Defibrillators


• Certification from the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America


• Certification in Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation


• Current certification in group fitness or health and fitness from a nationally recognized certifying agency, such as ACE, AFAA, or Les Mills
