Position Overview

Role Summary: The Senior Engineering Project Manager will oversee intricate Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) projects, ensuring effective organization and prioritization. This role involves addressing challenges that may hinder project timelines and delivering comprehensive updates to cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and manage significant strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing PLM systems, including upgrades and integration with other platforms such as ERP and CAD.
  • Foster innovation in PLM technologies and methodologies to sustain market competitiveness.
  • Facilitate employee development and training as necessary.
  • Provide leadership and direction to project teams, ensuring successful project execution.
  • Oversee the customization and configuration of the PLM system to align with organizational requirements, including workflows and user interfaces.
  • Engage with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements for new features and system enhancements.
  • Coordinate with offshore teams to ensure timely delivery in accordance with Functional Specification Documents.
  • Integrate the PLM system with other enterprise systems, ensuring seamless operation.
  • Collaborate with application OEMs for necessary support related to incidents, licenses, and compliance.
  • Offer technical guidance to the PLM development team, promoting best practices and effective troubleshooting.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and enhancements within change management frameworks.
  • Implement optimizations to enhance the performance and efficiency of the PLM system.
  • Continuously seek opportunities for improvement in PLM processes and systems.

Nature & Scope:

  • Utilizes advanced knowledge typically acquired through extensive education and experience.
  • Independently manages projects and processes with minimal supervision.
  • Mentors and evaluates the work of junior professionals.
  • Addresses complex problems with innovative solutions.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • In-depth understanding of Product Lifecycle Management processes, particularly Teamcenter.
  • Proven experience in managing change management projects within Teamcenter, including planning and stakeholder communication.
  • Familiarity with engineering release procedures and related development processes.
  • Strong grasp of Change Management principles within and outside Teamcenter.
  • Proficient in Teamcenter version 12+ configurations.
  • Knowledgeable in Teamcenter Active Workspace version 5+.
  • Understanding of manufacturing Bill of Materials.
  • Expertise in designing workflows tailored to business needs.
  • Proficient in various administrative utilities and server-side deployments.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Adept at critical thinking and problem-solving.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with diverse business partners.
  • Leadership and performance management capabilities.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 12 years in project/program management, or 10 years with a PMP certification overseeing complex projects.
  • At least 5 years of involvement in corporate-wide projects.
  • A minimum of 2 years in a project leadership role.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least 15 years of relevant experience.
