Job Description

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Inventory Strategy Manager to join our team at DAIKIN COMFORT TECHNOLOGIES MFG LP. As a key member of our Supply Chain Management team, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end transition of products phase in and phase out of our portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute long-term strategies for product transitions, including best practices and standard operating procedures.
  • Provide leadership to teams working on projects related to program or Supply Chain Management initiatives.
  • Identify, implement, and drive continuous improvement processes.
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans for the introduction of new products and the discontinuation of existing products.
  • Update Senior Leadership on Supply Chain Management status and related issues that need awareness or resolution.
  • Ensure alignment with Leadership on direction and intent of Supply Chain Management project activities.
  • Participate in a series of independent reviews on active projects to review/approve project milestones.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for all MSP 810/product transition projects with appropriate decision rights to ensure smooth phase-in and phase-out.
  • Extensive experience with planning teams to ensure optimal inventory levels are maintained during transitions to prevent shortages or excess stock.
  • Partner with procurement and materials management teams to phase out obsolete raw materials and components and phase in new materials and components.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, manufacturing, order services, Supply Chain, marketing, and sales, to ensure all transition activities are completed on time.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on operations and customer satisfaction.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders regularly.
  • Facilitate meetings and ensure effective communication across all stakeholders.
  • Ensure all PIPO transition activities comply with regulations and company policies.
  • Embed PIPO process in MSP 810/DAIKIN's product transition process.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost optimization, and efficiency gains within the PIPO process.
  • Lead efforts with defining project scope and timing.
  • Participate in a series of independent reviews on active projects to review/approve project milestones.

Requirements:

  • 12+ years of experience in product management, project management, and process optimization.
  • 8+ years of Supply Chain Management experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or Supply Chain Management.
  • PMP certification preferred, but not required.
  • APICS certification preferred, but not required.
