Key Responsibilities- Continuous Improvement: Set and achieve continuous improvement objectives while executing strategic action plans.
- Lean Manufacturing: Apply lean manufacturing principles to identify cost-saving opportunities, enhance quality, and improve workflow efficiency.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technical staff.
- Analytical Support: Support various analytical methodologies including DOE, 8D, FMEA, Six Sigma, and Kaizen initiatives.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Design Engineers to refine HVAC product designs, leveraging mechanical engineering expertise.
- Project Management: Develop and oversee project timelines for product launches and design alterations.
- Documentation: Prepare comprehensive documentation including bills of materials, cost analyses, and engineering change requests.
- System Redesign: Assist in the redesign of internal components to enhance system quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Problem Solving: Develop engineering solutions for product-related challenges using root cause analysis techniques.
- Cross-Functional Teams: Participate in teams to implement product modifications and drive improvements.
- Supplier Development: Cultivate relationships with suppliers to enhance manufacturing equipment and promote continuous improvement in uptime, efficiency, and quality.
- Preventive Maintenance: Establish preventive maintenance programs to ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Additional Duties: Perform other responsibilities as assigned by management.
- Expertise: Must be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) with a comprehensive understanding of manufacturing engineering principles.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years in product design within an HVAC assembly environment or related industries.
- Software Proficiency: Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, and manufacturing software.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Project Management: Proven project management skills with the ability to lead teams effectively.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or related Engineering field.
- Master's Degree in Engineering or Business Administration is preferred.
