Maintenance Specialist III

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Specialist III to join our team at the Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine and moderately complex work in one or more building maintenance and construction trades.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct inspections, adjustments, installations, maintenance, and repairs of buildings, utility systems, and stationary equipment. Operate motorized equipment, requisition materials and supplies, and maintain records. Communicate verbally and in writing with other team members. Work independently or as part of a team to achieve goals and objectives.
Requirements:
Knowledge of building mechanical systems, electrical distribution systems, electronics, boilers, painting, and carpentry. Skill in the use of hand tools, power tools, and test equipment. Ability to perform maintenance, follow instructions, estimate materials, and apply proper methods and techniques. Ability to work independently or with a team, solve problems, make decisions, and use good judgment.
