About the Role
The Senior Systems Engineering Lead will be a pivotal figure within the Advanced Technology Avionics division, focusing on the strategic execution of initiatives related to advanced military avionics platforms while exploring new opportunities in adjacent markets.

Key Responsibilities
As a systems engineering leader, you will:

  • Component and Product Integration: Design and integrate various components and products, optimizing for performance, cost, and quality.
  • Requirements Management: Collect and translate customer needs into comprehensive systems requirements, ensuring clear communication with hardware and software teams.
  • Validation and Verification: Lead validation and verification efforts for the overall product/system, including system-level testing.
  • Interface Management: Oversee the integration between components and other systems.
  • Risk Management: Proactively identify and mitigate technical risks to minimize project impacts.
  • Configuration Management: Maintain oversight of product configuration and control systems.
  • Technical Expertise: Cultivate knowledge across multiple technical domains to develop holistic architectural solutions.
  • Best Practices: Establish and promote best practices to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Problem-Solving: Innovate solutions to complex manufacturing challenges.
  • Decision-Making: Utilize diverse internal and external resources to inform decisions.
  • Resource for Colleagues: Mentor less experienced team members and lead small-scale projects.
  • Customer Engagement: Collaborate closely with program management to ensure alignment with customer objectives.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in developing system architectures based on customer requirements.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain DoD Security Clearance.

Desired Skills
