Job Summary

The Medical Assistant II will provide clinical support to physicians and patients in an outpatient clinic setting. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clinical Duties:
    • Assist physicians with patient evaluations, management, and treatment
    • Perform vital signs assessments and implement wound care under direct supervision
    • Prepare patients for procedures and assist with selected procedures
    • Coordinate patient care and communicate with patients and physicians
  • Administrative Tasks:
    • Evaluate and coordinate responses to patient inquiries
    • Ensure examination rooms are stocked with necessary supplies
    • Assist with special projects and departmental initiatives
    • Coordinate practice activities with physicians to ensure high-quality services
  • Quality and Patient Safety:
    • Report quality and safety concerns to supervisors
    • Participate in quality assurance activities
    • Comply with patient safety regulations
Requirements
  • Graduate of a certified Medical Assistant training program preferred
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • At least 1 year of practical experience
Working Conditions

The Medical Assistant II will work in an outpatient clinic setting, requiring some bending, lifting, walking, and sitting.
